The Palouse Ranger District on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests continues implementing prescribed burning operations on the Greenhorn Stewardship Units today, April 22. This project is located half a mile south of Horse Camp Trailhead and three miles east of Highway 6.The first unit is about 44 acres in size, and if weather and conditions are favorable, another 30 acres between two other units nearby may be burned through the week.The objective of burning this slash is to remove fuel accumulations and create areas for planting new trees.
