At approximately 3:10 pm on February 26th, 2024, Texas A&M Forest service  received a request for assistance for a wildfire in Gray County. Texas A&M Forest Service crews are working in unified command with local officials.The fire started 9.5 miles southwest of Lefors, Texas and is now burning 9 miles east of Lefors. Strong wind gusts up to 60 mph will likely increase fire activity.
