Incident Overview Updated: 4 months ago

June 21 update (Note this will be the final update unless significant changes occur)- The Lumgrey incident began Monday evening around 6:00 p.m. It began as two fires, which burned together to form the Lumgrey Fire. Final fire acreage is 207 acres. The fire is 95% contained. Crews will continue suppression repair work on the lines around the fire.

The Evacuation Warning has been lifted for both Dutch Creek and Empire Creek.

Highway 96 is currently open with no restrictions.

The fire is under investigation to determine the official cause of the fire.

Please drive safely and SLOWLY through the fire area, as firefighters are working and utility personnel are restoring damaged infrastructure.

Today some resources will be demobilized as the incident is winding down. The current Type 3 incident management team will turn the fire back over to the Happy Camp/Oak Knoll Ranger District Saturday morning.
