Incident Overview
At 1:40 p.m. on September 13, San Patricio County requested assistance from Texas A&M Forest Service for a fire approximately 17 miles northeast of Corpus Christi. Air resources including large air tankers were requested as well as ground resources.
Evacuations have been ordered by the Aransas Pass Police Department for the following areas in Aransas Pass: Ireland (both sides between 8th and 13th), Gettaway RV Park, Gaslight Village, Aransas Bay RV. If you require shelter, go to the Civic Center at 700 West Wheeler. If you are medically disabled and in this area, call 911 for assistance in evacuating.
