Fuels Involved:
subalpine fir, spruce, Douglas-fir, and lodgepole pine. Fuel models are timber, brush, and short grass.
Significant Events:
Moderate rate of spread on the north and west perimeter of the Scarface Group. Moderate fire behavior south of Sheep Creek and fire spread east towards Sheep Creek Ridge and spotting into Corduroy Creek in Seafoam Group. Active fire behavior near Blue Bunch Mountain and spreading east along Middle Fork of the Salmon in Sulphur Group.

Planned Outlook

Planned Actions:
Preparatory work will continue on the FS 579 Road and Fir Creek Campground. Continue to assess values at risk for point and structure protection. Continue to locate and triage values at risk not previously identified. Continue communication with Boise NF in the event the fire crosses jurisdictional boundaries.
Projected Incident Activity:
Seafoam Group: Continued burning in the eastern portion of the Seafoam area with short-range
spotting over Sheep Creek Ridge, slopping over into Corduroy Creek. Fire continues to impact the
Mountain King Mine vicinity. Continued fire spread south along Rapid River towards Seafoam Creek.
Fire will cross the ridge and grow overnight.
Sulphur Group: Potential for backing and flanking south of Sulfur Creek and east of Silver Moon Creek impacting Sulphur Cr. Ranch. Active backing into the wind in the Blue Bunch Mountain
southwest towards the Blue Bunch/Bear Valley Creek and Boundary Creek. Fire will spread northeast, impacting Middle Fork Salmon drainage.

Scarface Group: Continued fire activity near the tributaries of Middle Fork Salmon River and West Fork Little Soldier Creek, Marble Creek and Little Creek. Fire will continue to flank Middle Fork of Salmon River down drainage to the east. Backing fire into Thomas Creek and Little Creek towards the Middle Fork Salmon River potentially impacting Sater Cabin, Little Creek Guard Station, and Thomas Creek Airstrip.

Weather Concerns:
RED FLAG WARNING THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT...for high winds and low RH. Winds will align and accelerate along many of the southwest-northeast drainages including Thomas Creek, Lime Creek and Sulphur Creek. Cool and wetting rain on Sunday.
