Incident Photo for the Gila Fire

The Gila Fire began on April 2 along the Gila River bottom about 60 miles east of Yuma, Ariz., and approximately 10 miles north/northeast of Dateland and Interstate 8. 

There has been little activity on the fire. Some resources like engines and helicopters have been released. Some others remain to monitor conditions and mop up hotspots. Fire personnel will remain staffing the fire until containment reaches 100%. 

This will be the final update unless activity increases.
