Incident Photo for the Jump Fire

The Jump Fire is on the Clifton Ranger District on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests. It was ignited by lightning on August 20, 2020, is approximately 3 miles north of the XXX Ranch in the Blue River Drainage, and has grown to approximately 200 acres. The Jump Fire is burning in steep, rugged terrain, is in a remote location, has minimal values at risk, therefore, is in Monitor Status. 

Smoke may be visible east of Hwy. 191 on the Clifton Ranger District and west of Hwy. 180 north of Glenwood, New Mexico. Both the AD Bar (#14) and Pipestem (#545) Trails are currently impacted by the fire activity. These trails are not currently closed, however, recreationalists and visitors need to be cautious of the fire activity, if in the area.
