10:00 am August 28, 2020 Friday - The Spring Fire was reported on 8/17 at approximately 4:00 pm. The result of lightning the previous evening, the fire is located south of Deer Lick Springs in the South Fork Management Unit of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest.
The fire has remained at 230 acres and is now 100% contained. Firefighters will continue to patrol and mop up hot embers along the control lines. There remains fuel within the fire footprint, so burning is expected to continue. Resources working the fire include 7 engines.
