Incident Overview

This will be the final update for the 1320-acre Baldy Fire which began August 6, approximately 52 miles northeast of Ely, and is now 100% contained on the evening of August 10. The fire transitioned to a Type 4 ICĀ and plans are to improve on mop up operations and begin demobilization. Fire behavior continues to be minimal with smoldering and creeping.

On all flanks of the fire the potential for progression has been minimized with the on going suppression action.
Weather Concerns
Dry conditions are expected through Monday morning. There is a small risk for dry thunderstorms in the northern part of the fire zone
