Silverwood Lake / Hesperia Area 

The Lake Fire has burned approximately 478 acres with no containment at this time. The incident is in Unified Command with the USFS: San Bernardino National Forest, CAL FIRE San Bernardino Unit, San Bernardino County Fire, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Fire crews are continuing to work through the night to build containment lines and protect nearby communities. Weather conditions remain a challenge, with gusty south winds (15–25 mph) and low humidity expected to persist into the evening. Conditions are forecast to improve overnight, but winds are expected to increase again Sunday afternoon.

Evacuation Orders remain in effect south of Highway 138 between Interstate 15 and Highway 173. 

Evacuation Warnings are in effect North of Highway 138 and Highway 173, from Summit Valley Road to Arrowhead Lake Road.

Please follow all evacuation orders and stay clear of the area for your safety and the safety of emergency personnel.

πŸ“ Silverwood Lake / Hesperia Area

Intel flight more accurately maps Lake Fire at 489 acres and is now 50% contained. Firefighters will focus their efforts on continuing to build and strengthen containment lines around the fire.

We remain under Unified Command with CAL FIRE BDU.

Pacific Crest Trail (PCT.) hikers be aware: Two sections of the PCT between Silverwood Lake and I-15 along Highway 138 have been affected by the Lake Fire. If you are hiking the trail, please use extreme caution in this area. Your safety is our top priority, and the area is considered hazardous.

Hwy 138 will remain closed from the junction of Hwy 173 to Old Mill Rd. Cal Trans will be assessing damage and repairing areas of concern.

In addition, Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area will remain closed through July 7, 2025.

All evacuation warnings and orders have been lifted as of 12:00 today. With evacuations lifted we encourage the community to continue to be alert and fire ready. Be Prepared!
