Current Weather

Weather Concerns

Thursday through the weekend will be notably hotter signaling the start of an extended warming trend with several days approaching 100 degrees. Northeast winds of approximately 10 mph will continue at night, extending the burning period into the night. Relative humidity of 15 to 20 percent will also be conducive to increased fire behavior. In the northern area of the fire, winds are likely to aid in the dispersal of smoke, making aircraft available to assist crews in suppression efforts. In the evening hours, mixing northerly and southern winds may restrict visibility for aircraft assigned to the fire limiting their availability particularly in the southern area of the fire.
