As conditions allowed, firefighters were able to conduct back-firing operations assisting with securing the fire perimeter. Througout the day firefighters will continue suppression efforts around the fire using both ground and air resources as conditions allow. Firefighters will strengthen and improve containment lines while also patrolling the interior of the fire to extinguish the hot spots that still exist. We continue to appreciate the patience and support of the Butte County community as we work to make the fire area safe for re-entry. There are thousands of firefighters, law enforcement officers, and other cooperators operating around the clock to complete this necessary work....
