No observed fire behavior along the perimeter of the fire for todays operational shift (8/29/2018). Some smoldering may still be present far interior of line. Fire is 95% contained today with an estimate of 100% contain/control 3:00 pm 8/30/18.

Planned Actions
Crews will continue to patrol and monitor the fire perimeter and mop up as needed
Projected Incident Activity
12 hours: Fire will continue to be a threat to Emigrant Mine and ranches, as well as State Route 278. If we experience extreme fire behavior as described in the Great Basin Fuels and Fire Advisory, the town of Carlin and the residences in Ferdelford could also be threatened. Great Basin Fuels and Fire Weather Advisor was extended to September 7, 2018.
This threat will potentially continue until full containment of the fire is achieved.
