Updated: 1 hour, 18 mins ago — The Hilltop Fire started on August 8, 2018, 15 miles north of Mount Pleasant. The cause is unknown at this time. The fire burned primarily in timber, brush, and short grass. Approximately 150 homes were threatened by the fire. Evacuations have been lifted as of August 10. The fire is 100% contained as of August 11. There will be no additional updates to this page unless conditions change.
