Updated: 9 hours, 36 mins ago — The Seep Fire is a lightning caused fire 1.5 mile east of U.S. Highway 180 and approximately 9 miles northwest of Humphrey's Peak. Its smoke is highly visible for travelers on U.S. 180. Currently the fire is 300 acres in size . Burnout operations to suppress this fire continue through the weekend. Three engines and a partial type I crew totaling approx. 25 firefighters are assigned to this fire.Light to moderate smoke is expected along state Route 180 over the next several days. With the unsettled weather in the area smoke may drift into local housing developments including White Horse Hills, Doney Park, Cheshire Foothills and the Timberline areas.
