Updated: 7 hours, 22 mins ago — #LakeChristineFire update for the week of Sept. 17, 2018:The Lake Christine Fire was put into monitor status as of Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018. At the moment, suppression operations are not taking place; however, the fire will continue be monitored by firefighters as needed. The Lake Christine Fire will remain at 94% containment until a season-ending weather event occurs like multiple days of rain or snow. Please note, the increase in containment is due to more accurate heat mapping. The remaining uncontained line is located in steep, inaccessible terrain where it is unsafe to place firefighters. No growth has occurred on the Lake Christine fire for several weeks. There will continue to be smoke visible on the fire; however, the visible smokes are located far within the interior of the fire perimeter and are not a threat to containment at this time.
